King William III 1695 Crown

Recommended Posts

Have recently found what appears to be a King William III 1695 Crown. How much should I sell it for - web research pulls up widely differing figures of between £50 to £695. Its quite worn (ie the detail on the king's face is not clear) but still easily identifiable. How rare are they? Thanks.

If it's worn it'll be in the lower range, possibly even less then £50 (I've certainly sold them for less than £50 in the past)

What sort of level would you suggest?

I think I sold a 'Fair' one for £35 last year. But don't my word sight unseen. If you register you can post a picture.

Have put coin plus photos onto EBay, so I'll see what happens! Many thanks for your help.

Can you give us a link, we could probably grade it from the photos?

That's alright, just do what a lot of people do...

Use my time and expertise, and then don't even consider selling the coin to me!

Nothing personal, but you're not the first to do that, and it's a little annoying that so many fairly clueless non collectors choose to list coins on ebay instead of selling them to dealers, like me. Any chance of at least a link to the ebay listing, and a post of the picture?

Sorry if I offended anyone - difficult to know who's interested amateurs and who's a dealer. Also couldn't work out how to upload photos on the Forum.

Ok, good point, I'll try to make my status clearer from the signature and notes at the side.
