1862 US One Cent - Indian Head

Recommended Posts

Guest Peds

Hi,

I have inherited the above coin from a relative. It seems to be in Fine condition, but I am trying to determine if it is worth anything? All I know is that it may be an Indian civil war era coin, but I can only assume this from searches i have carried out on the net.

Also, was wondering what the best links are for foreign coin information that is free?

Thanks

Peds

For US coins have a look at www.pcgs.com or www.coinpeople.com

Being a new Brit owner of The US Red Book.

28,075,000 million cents minted that year (not a year identified as scarce ;) )

US dealers rates (in $)

VG $8

F $14

EF $40

Do a search on EBAY.com (US) you should get loads of comparisons.

$14 being about £6-£8 give or take on exchange rates.
