does anyone know aht these two silver coins may be? are they worth bidding on at £5?

the sell wrote this description:

You are bidding for a Half Farthing dated 1844 slight nick on the edge. And two other coins unsure if they are a 1 1/2 farthing dated 1839 measures12mm dia, And a 2 farthing dated 1838 measures 13mm dia, Both smaller coins appear to be silver, All used but in nice condition

I suggest you buy a coin book on UK coins....there are plenty for sale on this site.(starting at less than a fiver)

You will waste you're money without basic knowledge of the subject.

The top left is a three half pence for Colonial use.

Then you have a twopence/maundy coin.

the half farthing is the most common date of its type plus it looks like it belonged to Jack the Ripper at sometime.

A fiver maybe a fair price but buying stuff at random without knowledge isn't very smart.
