Dont know what to do with some coins

Recommended Posts

I have been given a number of coins by my cousin who has emigrated to australia.

Dont realy know anything about coins, There are a number of half penny's , one penny's a few farthings , foreign coins etc. Dont know if any of them are worth anything , wether i should just give them away or even throw them in the bin. Any advice would be appreciated.

You can always list the dates here, and we can give you a quick estimate if anything might have any value.

Chances are that they have little value to sell, but if you have a younger cousin/nephew/relative/friend that you could pass them on to, perhaps you could spark some interest in that youngster, and they may become life-long collectors.

Still dont know what to do with the coins if there was someone in aberdeen scotland that wanted them i could arrange to get them to you. I am tidying up and they are just cluttering up the place.

If they're all average circulated coins then they're worth perhaps £3.00 assuming the early pennies are readable.

All the ones i listed are readable and in ok condition to my eye. I am no expert and have no idea what people consider good condition though. There are a lot more i didnt mention that are in worse condition with dinks, wear, rusted up etc.

If they are worth a few quid I wouldn't mind selling them if someone was interested but dont realy know how best to go about it ebay, a locale auction if there is such a thing or something else. If they arn't worth much though i would be happy to give them free to a good home if someone was interested.

Give them to a young person. The postage may cost more than they're worth.

I dont know anyone who is interested.

Thats why I said if there was anyone that was in aberdeen i would hand them over. I am a bit of a hoarder and dont like throwing things out that someone else might want but i amnt realy interested myself I would rather it went to a good home.
