Yuletide felicitations to everyone. I hope 2025 is a happier and healthier year for all, and that we all manage to find a little unnoticed gem tucked away in an auction catalogue somewhere.

Yes. Best Seasonal wishes to all.

Decided seasonal should have a capital letter. Corrected accordingly.

I can't say I really have much time for Christmas anymore, but I am happy to wish you all the very best for the season and a prosperous and successful New Year!

Bah humbug!
Just give me the prezzies and some beer.

At least I can start commenting ‘evenings getting later’ from tomorrow. I try to be the first.

And I do like New Year.

But I gladly send my Best Wishes to you all.

Poetically put. Exactly what I wanted to say but I  struggled with the correct wording. Hence the short post.

Christmas Day off and back to work Boxing Day. Suits me fine.

I echo Paddy's sentiments.

We were having this summer/winter conversation the other night…it was my initial view that, if you grew up in Australia, you’d know no different, Christmas would always have been in the middle of summer, which I can’t get my head around at all.
The reciprocal view was that the massive movie influence always has Christmas alongside snow and, I guess, Father Christmas comes from Lapland, so is mostly featured in scenes of wintery weather.

So, where does that leave the experience of an Australian? Are they as weirded out by the idea of Christmas being a winter celebration, as we are by you all having a bbq in your shorts on the same day?

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas, whichever continent you happen to be having it on 🎄🎄

That link doesn't work. A click leads to a download of the htm file, which seems to be a menu from some website.
