Just a stab in the dark. I make it Edward II Class 11a. The initial cross, drapery and crown are my comparisons. Any other ideas?

It looks closer to my Edward II pieces also.

Asecond look and I'm a bit thrown by the righthand fleur. It's trifoliate while the left is bifoliate. I haven't seen that before!

I've got a bit of time pm tomorrow so I will have a peek...however I have enough trouble id'ing my own coins...plus I returned North to the library at the weekend....coincraft seems to be easier....(or is it me)

Doing my first rally next month....I can do special discounts to forum members if I get any swapsies...I aim on getting a pocketfull of Edward the Martyr's...can't wait. :D

Only found nails, washers and a lead soldier so far.....but there again I have only detected 3 gardens(my house was built in 1990).

Yes Edward II's death was particularly uncomfortable to say the very least.
