1940 double exergue line

Oh well, I'll open my first post with a dumb question. What am I looking for?

On the reverse (tails) look at the date.

The line separating the date from Britannia is what you should look at.

The double and single exergue lines need inspecting under a good light(much easier with a loupe)

Once you've seen both there is no mistaking and are quite clear.

This is the only coin I have which I collected about 35 years ago, can't be surely Can someone tell me if this is a double or not please.

Its a double....however the single is the rarer one.
