can anyone point me to a site with a forum like this one where people may be able to give me an idea of their value. a forum where i can supply and upload pictures (with visible serial numbers) would be helpfull.

Right here we go....

Top left is a Beale £1 from 1950

It is an RB 42 (Duggleby B2689) LNNL(this stands for Letter, number, number, letter)

fine £3...Unc £12

Top Right is a Peppiate £1 from 1940

It is an RB 42 (Duggleby B268) LNNL

fine £2...Unc £18

Bottom left is a Hollom 10/- from 1963

It is an RB 24 (Duggleby B295) NNL

fine £1...Unc £8

Bottom right is a Page £1 from 1971

It is an RB 83 (Duggleby B322) LLNN

fine £2...Unc £4

Left is a Peppiate 10/- from 1940

It is an RB 10 (Duggleby B251) LNNL

fine £15...Unc £60

Right is a Beale 10/- from 1950

It is an RB 16 (Duggleby B265) NNL

fine £10...Unc £50

Centre is a Peppiate £5 from 1945

It is an RB 104(Duggleby B255) LNN

fine £35...Unc £100

The values are approx retail prices (dealers would pay you less)

The condition of the notes is important and from your photo they appear average ie Fine to Very fine.

There are many forgeries of white fivers(including by Adolf H)

but your's is the least valuable type so probably is genuine.

A good little book can actually be bought off this site (Collectors bank notes....for about a £5)

I hope this helps......Coin Collectors arn't just 1 trick show ponies :D
