1900-1965 crowns

Recommended Posts

My crown collection is starting to fill out nicely and was wondering if anyone knows of a site where i can see pictures of the more unobtainable crowns such as the frosted proofs. They are mentioned in spinks but no pictures :(

There was a frosted 1951 on ebay recently.

I have a friend with a proof '34 and should be photographing it in a month or so.

Hi Chris, yes I saw the 1951 but the problem is, without knowing what one looks like how would I know its the real thing? and they tend to be expensive

I heard that even real ones were simply normal coins dipped in acid at the time!

Back in the early 80's I was dipped in ACID :)
