Can anyone provide me with biographical details on Percy Metcalfe (1895-1970) who designed the George Cross and other British coins?

There is absolutely nothing of substance about him on the internet, as far as page 5 of a google for "Percy Metcalfe" goes......He's a hard guy to track down

All I can find out courtesy of Spink, is that he was born in 1895, died in 1970, and that his designs first appeared on the coins of George V.
