Hello,

Sorry if this isn't the right sort of place to ask this question  , please ignore/tell me to delete this if so.

I'm interested in buying silver coins for their silver content, rather than their collectability, and am wondering if anyone might be able to point me in the direction of someone who might sell me some kilos of silver coins. I've tried Chard, as they advertise the service, but they rarely have bags of coins, and not currently.

Thanks.

If you purely want to invest for silver content and not numismatic value, why not just buy ingots of the stuff? There are decorative mini-ingots on eBay but they sell for over melt. There are the occasional 1 kilogram Engelhard, Metalor or Schone ingots on the Bay but I don't know where about they end compared to melt.

I,ve got bags of pre 47 and pre 20 scrap silver but postage prohibits attempts to sell.

Try a coin fair and the 25p box.
