Can anyone help me with this ?

I bought a job lot at a car boot sale and in it was an old money bank.

It was produced by / for The northern Bank of Scotland

It is oval shaped about 4" long, stands 2.5" high and has slots round the outside for various pre-decimal coins. and a slot in the top for notes.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for finding out a bit more about it and the bank - as I'm not being that successful with my internet searching.

Are you sure this is not for the North of Scotland Bank and not the Northern Bank? North of Scotland Bank actually did have these banks, like most British Banks did. North of Scotland was merged with Clydesdale Bank in 1949 and became the Clydesdale and North of Scotland Bank, which lasted in name until 1964 when it reverted to just the Clydesdale Bank.
