Hi Guys,

Can anyone explain to me why over the last 18 months or so, Gold Sov`s had doubled in price? I only started to collect them in 2004. I used to be able to pick them up for £54.00, now the same sovs are going for £84, and in some cases over £110!!!!!!!!! Why, surely gold hasn`t gone up that much has it?

Gordon.

It has you know!

Recently it's about £11,000 per kilo, which means £11 per gramme. A sov contains 7.32grammes, so that's about £80.00 bullion value. Gold is the highest it's been since 1980.
