I believe it's an imitation 'Spade' guinea, produced in some numbers and used for card games etc

I actually bought a job lot of these things (30 pieces) for a Fiver....good old days etc....I thought they might be interesting....but no.

They still sit in my action pot...gaining green deposits. :)

Flunter,it is too dull to be gold anyway,& it is too light.Gold is actually a very heavy metal.Try putting a 1/2 Guinea on your little finger,& you will struggle to lift it.
