Bit of a strange 10p

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Thanks for letting me join the forum.

Can anyone give any information about this 10p?

I got it in a bag of coins a friend gave me.

Been collecting coins for a while ( mainly foreign cos they look nice )

Was given a bag of coins and found a weird 10p included.

Can anyone give any information on it & is it worth anything????

Thanks.

Tony..

Very interesting.

It appears the machine got jammed and the reverse of another 10p has struck the obverse of the 10p you have. This extra coin where it shouldn't have been and the mis alignment seems to have caused the 10p you have to barely get an imprint of the reverse die.

Sort of almost what is known as a 'brockage', but not quite.

The value is dependent on what someone would be willing to pay for it. I have previously bought error coins from posters on this forum, and for this one I'd offer you £30.00

Thanks for the very quick reply and generous offer :)

Would you be agreeable to a trade? Seen about £30 worth of books on your site

that i quite fancy.

Cheers.

Tony
