Ebay's Worst Offerings

You need to find multiple examples with the same profile to have any hope of convincing him. They might all be lozenge shaped, but that still provides a myriad of identifiably different pieces. Arguably, you get so many rusted/corroded/pitted things on ebay that it almost looks normal when you see a cast, even if if you know better.

True. But if it were me and someone told me it was a copy, I'd ask what the weight should be and check mine .. wouldn't you?

Unless of course you already knew didn't care ...

Just trying to think who is a regular seller of such items. Expert advice to vendor was probably "list it without mentioning a copy because you should find some gullible person to buy it".

Readers Digest Token. One of the worst of eBay's offerings I've seen in ages. Very, very rare: even though they made millions o them and handed them out for free. My favorite part is in the description where it says: "Only a few made"!

Excellent news. I will offer you £1.50 for your museum copy. I will even foot the postage so that you aren't out of pocket.
