But there again you can't describe a coin as poor on ebay....or can you?

That would of gone in my pre 1920 scrap pot.

It would be nice as a pocket piece.

You're certainly hauling them over the coals at the minute, I'll give you that!

Agreed, though! I wouldn't have bothered to grade it if I was Neil! In that condition, you'd either love it or not! :)

I disagree. I listed the thing below on the website, accurately described as dire, and it sold within a couple hours. It wasn't at 99p either.

Ebay description of the coin has been amended:

"Bytheway, re my previous comments, there were, of course, Shillings struck in 1838 - just testing you all - well done if you spotted that deliberate error !!! "

How about this for BU http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1863-penny-BU-/331459258624?pt=UK_Coins_BritishMilled_RL&hash=item4d2c82e900

As in 'Bloody Uncollectable'?

Presumably the field length isn't long enough to say "Might qualify as GVF if it hadn't been cleaned and there wasn't a bloody great dent in the rim"? :D
