Dave's buddy from Dundee is back. :o

Somehow a F coin worth £20 is beyond belief.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/370814683740?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

And equally can't spell  - note "luster" for "lustre"

Blimey, even at the quoted 'aUNC' his asking price is a tad on the high side!

Apparently this 1951 Festival of Britain Crown is actually a 1937 Matt Proof Crown. Can These be reported due to the false descriptions, trade descriptions would have a field day with his shite

:blink::blink::blink::blink: ???

CHARLES 1ST SHILLING - Sun Mintmark (1632-1633)

CHARLES 1ST SHILLING - Sun Mintmark (1632-1633)

The descriptions in the listings don't match the titles, there are no photos and .. yet people are prepared to bid? Surely cheap rubbish is still .. well, rubbish.

Though I guess people buy lottery tickets too ...

His name rings a bell, but I can't place it? Looking at his feedback, there's a couple of serious coin buyers who've been happy with him stock, which looks pretty interesting generally!

Could be worth emailing him! It might be a good sun, and you just might get lucky? ;)

aholds sells Gold normally and he has an advert in the CCGB book and is friendly with Chris Perkins. I had a run in with him once about an 1820 closed 2 in date Sov which he bought from me and took an Age to get to him due to him having a PO BOX, he told me i should kiss his ass if i did'nt want a negative etc, i told him exactly where the f**k to get off and he left me a neg anyway. Guy is a moron in my opinion

He did sell a fair common 1711 6d for nearly £143

He had described it as NEF.

"An old hammered silver crown in fair condition. Elizabeth 1st

The coin is genuine, There is a field near where I live that one does not need a metal detector because when you walk the field after plowing it gives up coins in abundance from every age, from pre Roman up till the Victorian era. Ocaisionaly one can find gold coins also. Nobles and sovereigns but not many. The most common are the victorian especialy the old pennies. Obviously I keep the location a secret."

Interesting, then, that the same images appear here: http://bryantcoins.com/styled/styled-73/index.html

The images have also been doctored to blur away the surface marks. Mind you, anything can happen after a good plow (whatever that might be).

actually the pictures are bugged, the coin isn't that bad, stuck a bid on to have a look, and in the you are winning is the screenshot.

Odd. I couldn't get the pics to work at all .... and wasn't prepared to risk wasting my money ...
