I totally agree with his 'prices' issue, I would never buy anything from him purely for the reason that he doubles his prices according to Spink.

I've never bought from him, and never will! The stuff he sells is just stuff which collectors don't want, maybe he should sell them to a junkyard...

Also, he spends a small fortune on advertising in every book and magazine imaginable, which is probably why new collectors buy from him.

Yep, he's everywhere, have you seen how much he has in Coin News? He also has two advertisements in Coin Yearbook...

I'm surprised that he hasn't bribed Spink to place an advert in there.

One really can't fault him for business sense! Chris, have you thought about saturating the media with adverts for this place?

I know, he must be doing alright for himself is he had thousands of people on his mailing lists.

I just hope Spink don't put any adverts in their catalogue!

Btw Oli, Chris does have an advertisement in Coin News, and Coin Yearbook

...not to the same level as Coincraft!

Collectors would just get annoyed with him if he did have tons of adverts like Coincraft.

I can't afford those great big full colour pages boasting that I must buy £1,000,000 worth of coins this week!

I thought about taking the piss and doing a small black and white ad....'I must spend £50 on coins this week'

;) What do you rekon?

Haha you'd certainly get a laugh or two from more experienced collectors

You could do I suppose, but what if you don't manage to spend the 50 quid?

I've only ever been to Coincraft's shop once, and that was because I was contemplating a set of Elizabeth II farthings for £10. I ran after they told me the price.

Should be interesting. How many hits does the Predecimal website get a month?

Yeah I was quite shocked. I dread to think what Coincraft gets though hehe

I would say about 20,000-30,000 maybe more due to their extensive advertising.

Add a '0' oli, it was 39,382 unique machines in March, some of those will be search engines, some will be people looking for something else, that end up clicking straight on the 'back' button. A lot of them are the same person more than once because dial up ISP's give you a different IP address everytime you go online.

Despite that, it's impressive. My rating has dropped on the world stage, but predecimal.com was once the 421,000th (ish) most visited website in the world acording to www.alexa.com

The one thing about the Coincraft site I like (Emperor Oli prepares for flaming) is.........the coin in their banner!
