I was going to put 30,000 first! I thought "Is it 3000 or 30,000" but I plumped with 3000, stupidly. Way to go Chris (even if it is a bit of a comedown from 421,000!) :D

According to alexa.com I probably get about 10x more than coincraft...It's not advertising that gets the hits to websites, it's search engine efficiency, and that is something I have studied and invested lots of time on.

The one thing about the Coincraft site I like (Emperor Oli prepares for flaming) is.........the coin in their banner!

Yes, I wonder if they ever had that coin, they probably nicked it from another site lol.

That many visitors Chris?! That is impressive, I thought it would be about 5000 :o I wonder how many visitors you'll be getting in ten years time. You might even get more than Coincraft, or even (dare I say it!) Westminster or the Royal Mint!!

Don't underestimate predecimal.com power, where else do you get this level of personal assistance and perhaps the fastest growing British coin site in the world? You stick by me chaps, and I will stick by you.

Coming soon will be lots and lots more coins for you to drool at, and as I get more established and learn more about web design and new technologies, it can only get better in appearance and functionality.

Ah ok. Quite sneaky of you researching the engines to push ahead of coincraft though!

With all this talk of Coincraft, I went on the site to the Edward VIII bit. It seems they have struck some bimetallic coins. In the piece however, it says the two pieces of metal nned to be lined up by hand. I thought this was rather odd and inefficient and doubted its validity. Is it true?

Wow, 10x more than coincraft. I thought it would be about 10x less!

Yes, we all agreed that Westminster and Coincraft are in the same league!

That sounds a bit dodgy, if that happened with our £2 coins then we would barely have any! :o

Those pictures are good, aren't they: e8bimetal.gif

Westminster and Coincraft are definitely in the same league, at the bottom!

I just can't see the Mint's workers with magnifying glasses up close to the coins lining the two pieces up somehow. So Coincraft:

  • Sell rubbish stuff
  • Lie

Well we cannot call them liars, maybe they made their coins by hand. I'm sure even Mr Lobel can't afford the Royal Mint equipment.

Even if they did go to all that trouble, they are priced at £18.95 each, and if they have indeed lied, then it just isn't worth buying.

Hahaha, now this is a proper spelling error, much worse than mine.

Correction: In the piece however, it says the two pieces of metal NEED to be lined up by hand.

:P:P:P:P

Signed,

William, and his secret contact (you know who you are!) ;)

Yes, they are rubbish aren't they, with trade dollar reverse.

I cringe at the language used to, it's so 'American Salesman' (no offence Americans) and it really makes me want to puke.

I bet they only sell 1 set per 100,000 viewers of that page, which probably equate to about 5 a year!

It's a typo! I know how to spell NEED it's a flippin' four letter word: I got one letter out which happened to be the preceding one - a common typing error

Agreed, but they do sell rubbish

Ugh, they're hideous, and terribly over priced, lol! How many people would buy that, and why would they buy it?!

You can touch type? I can't, but I am pretty fast already without touch typing so I don't really need to...

Yes, the people I sit next to in IT are pathetic typers. Some do it with one finger, some use both, but whatever they do, it's always as slow as Hell, I get desperate watching them try to find the key they are looking for!

PS: I do type with two hands
