Anybody going to Coinex this year?

I would love to go, but that's when my first baby is due! :)

You'll be fine, the first one's always late.

Never been there before, in fact the only one I have been to so far was the York Coin Fair this year.

What can you expect to see while there? I don't think I will go in any case as it's a bit far for me to travel down from Yorkshire...

Can't see me going what with the 3 days of auctions before Coinex. 3-4 days in London is bad enough if you include viewing time.

The number of auctions seems to be going through the roof. From this Sunday to next Friday there are 7 if you include the Goldberg and Heritage sales in the US. Only August seems to be auction free now. It's a bit hard on the cashflow.

I'm happy to take the gamble, :) but the baby is due on the 6th of October so there isn't a chance my bread knife would let me attend.

Joking aside before you all think I'm a bad dad I wouldn't miss my baby’s birth for all the tea or coins in China. :P

I'll second that.

Nice to see you are a modern man. It wasn't many years ago that the father was expected to and was kept well out of the way during the birth of their children, women's work and all that.

Have you thought of a video phone, best of both worlds :D

Thanks Gary. A video phone now that’s an idea! :) but she would like me to hold her hand as well and I draw the line at cutting my hand off just to go to Coinex. :D
