1887/1897 coin

Hi everyone

This is my first post and after searching the internet to no avail I'm trying to find out some information about a coin I have. I have some images here:

First off, I'll apologise profusely for the quality - the only camera I had on me at the time was a mobile one which I thought took better photos than this. The coin is at my mum's house and I got the photos quickly while it was out (although I really should have bought it home with me as my memory of the coin is slowly getting worse).

Now for some details, or at least the few that I can remember. I believe the coin is either marked as 1887 or 1897. As you may be able to see from the images, there doesn't appear to be a bust on either side and the image that I can make out the most is the one of the two horses on either side of something. I think the other side shows some sort of building, although I really can't trust my memory on this one. History-wise, my mum told me that my father was given it from his grandfather or great-grandfather, which would match the dates on the coin. I have a nagging feeling that it's something to do with a jubilee (gold or diamond from research) but can I find anything on the net with a complete listing of coins made for these occaisions?

Anyway, I seriously apologise for the lack of detail in these photos, I will try and get some better ones in the near future. If anyone needs specific information I can also get these fairly soon, so please ask!

That's right, and if the date is 1887 or 1897 it's bound to be one of the many unofficial medals struck in honour of Queen Victoria's golden or diamond jubilees.

I am not sure aboute jubilee, or it would be queen face or coat of arm, but here I can see the bridge and the someone's coat of arm.

I can't make out the legend from the photo. If you tell me what it says I might be able to offer help.
