Coin Hunting exhibition

Recommended Posts

Hi its Atif

I just had an idea, as many of the people who are members here live within the U.K.

Could someone organise a coin searching exhibition.

Everone could come togeather for a day or few at a certain location in the U.K with metal detecors and we could all look for the lost coinage of Great Britain.

Just an Idea, If anyone is intrested please let me know.

This would also be a good opportunity for collectors like me who are young, new and unexperienced, this may also help to get more people involved in the hobby plus you never know what you could find.

If no one is intrested then does anyone know of anything similar that happens in the U.K.

This is due to the fact that I would love to go on a coin searching exhibition, but lack of experience and knowledge lets me down.

I would also like to know of any coin auction or fairs that take place in the U.K preferably in Birmingham.

Thankyou Very much for reading.

Hope you could help,

Kind regards

Atif

Hi Atif

If you search the net you will find clubs that hold regular detecting rallies etc.

Try Dei Gratia and it will give you some links.

There is a monthly coin fair at the NEC motorcycle museum.

There are some fantastic coins on display as well as bargin bin boxes which seem popular.

Its on the 2nd Sunday of everymonth and opens at 10am.Admission for adults was £1.50.

Good luck and happy collecting

Peter
