William IV sovereign

Folks I would really appreciate some trustworthy and reliable help about sovereign that I was fortunate enough to find with a metal dtecetor a couple of years ago. I believe I will get a balanced and honest opinion from a forum such as this and I don't trust dealers at coin fairs. The coin that I found is a William IV sovereign and is dated 1861 and it has no stops between the WW (William Wyon) on the bust of the king. From my old 'Coins of England 2001' book it is described as 'Extremely Rare' and is listed as 3829A. There is no valuation in the book and in any case if there was it would be seven years out of date. The coin condition is what I would describe from my limited knowledge as EF but that is my opinion and not that of a qualified or expereienced coin grader. I can post a picture of the sovereigns obverse and reverse on this site or personally e mail the pictures. I have been watching E Bay with interest to see if anything similar appears but after over a year of watching every date except for 1861 seems to have appeared.....which may be testament to it's rarity.

Do you mean 1831?

You better post some pictures to clarify the date, type and grade! All too often an EF Sovereign can turn out to be a Fair farthing, but I imagine you're better informed than that!

Yes sorry it's 1831, a slip of the finger I'm afraid, Photograph posted so you can see what sort of condition it's in, the only downside is the slight scuff on the obverse but the crispness of detail is very good and the milling very sharp and undamaged.
