That is a shame.

It could be plugged but it would always be evident.

Its hard to put a value on something which has been damaged (us collectors are a fussy lot)

I've got a plugged 1699 farthing in my collection because it was really nice and I paid only a few £ for it....but I also have a lesser condition one that is just more worn.

£90 is a lot, if this were to go to auction I could see it reaching £60. If I were you I'd accept the £90 offer!

I've sold them like that without a hole for £100 before so £90 is pretty outrageous.

I was going to say £20 too.

Yes, but eBay is the place where lots of stuff goes way over its true value, yours is just one of many of such cases...

£120? I thought it was £90...
