1937 Threepence

Recommended Posts

Guest sye

Hello,

I recently found some coins I had collected as a child, in the bag was a 1937 George V1 threepence, someone told me it was rare, is this right?

I also have a few silver threepences, one is 1919 George V and the other was 1941 George V1.

Should I clean them? if so what with?

Many Thanks

Sye

Hi Sye

The rare 1937 3d is Edward V111.

Regarding cleaning I would advise against it.

Your 1919 silver 3d is 92.5% silver but alas is very common.

Regards

Peter
