1745 lima shilling or sixpence

HI,

Could someone tell me if there is a significant difference in diameter between the 1745 Lima sixpence and the shilling. I bought a coin that was sold as a sixpence but it isn't very different in diameter from a shilling that I already have in my collection.

There should be a significant different in diameter.... about 2cm for the sixpence and 2.5cm for a shilling (not hugely different from the modern shilling/sixpence). It is possible that one of them was struck on a small flan? Or that both are sixpences! Can you trust that the seller knew what they were selling? Post pictures if you like.

The shilling should be approx 25.5mm and weigh 6.0g, the sixpence 21mm and weigh 3g.

I bought the coin on ebay as a sixpence having previously bought a shilling from a reputable dealer in Hampshire. When the "sixpence" arrived it was more or less the same diameter as the shilling. I wasn't sure about the difference in size between a shilling and sixpence in that eras so I thought I would check.
