1995 british gold coin proof set

Recommended Posts

Guest dubh

Hey guys, just came across these coins in my loft. It's a 1995, british gold coin proof set, has the 4 coins, £5 with st george and dragon, £2 with dove of peace, Sovereign and half sovereign with st george and dragon, plus, red leather box and gold plated medallion.

Looking for information more than anything else, i don't know to much about coins, so any info on value, how/where to sell, and any history on the coins would be much appreciated.

thanks for any help :)

Hi dubh,

I am a collector of military medals medallion and coins with a military connection so when I inherited a collection of proof gold singles and sets I offered them arround my usual haunts and found that the best offers came from a couple of established dealers that have been in the yellow pages for years.

I did offer to sell to a collector at my work but the offer from himself and his friends was embarissing small.

I can let you have the dealers name if you want and if the Forum is Ok with that.
