Could somebody please have a look at this coin for me?

Recommended Posts

I have searched for references to various flaws/die breaks etc.

The heaton mint mark is below the date, I couldnt see it properly so I scan the coin. When the date is enlarged it shows a small 7 underneath the 7 in the date. It also looks like the end 5 is mixed with a 3????. The reverse says RFG instead of REG. I cannot find a reference to all 3 flaws on one coin. I have just got into coins about 2 months ago so I am way out of my league (or hallucinating lol). I have posted the close up also, its baffled me. I used photo zoom pro to enlarge.

RFG does pop up often its a dye break

dunno what tomake about the 5 over 3 though, unless Heaton got a 1873 dye from somewhere (no 1873 H dyes)

That is the problem I hit. I couldnt find any listing for it at all. Did you manage to see the small 7 under the date at all? I have bugged everyone who came in my house this last week to look at it lol. Thank you for checking it out Scott.
