india 1961 square cion

I have also come across a silver colour 1961 coin..there is a number5 I recognise on the rear and front shows a 3 headed lion . can anyone tell me what this is as it looks unusual!!

sorry to be so vague but I have come across a lot of coins and do not want to sell them on ebay so rest assurred!!

India was no longer 'British' by 1961, but we won't split hairs, I've always been a big fan of India and the Indian people.

What you have sounds like a 5 Piase (100 of which make up a Rupee). Value is just a few pence, even in top condition.
