New £5 note flaw pointers please

Recommended Posts

Hi I realise this is a coin site but can anyone give me an idea how much someone might pay for a brand new £5 Bailey note flaw. I think its dirt/ink...

Just got it today there is a mark under the hologram seal think it may be worth slightly more than £5 now to a real buff any pointers please? very crisp note just one fold...

The mark is definitely under the seal. OK its fairly small but first time I have ever spotted a flaw with HM notes. Should I get this authenticated. Wanted to get peoples opinion before I try and flog it... Could be ink could be dirt? But am I right normally flawed ones would be taken out. Might be a lucky find?? Only spotted as I am looking out in change for the 20ps etc

I can't see anything! But I suspect a little mark/dirt/ink that's barely visible won't really interest many note collectors. Go and spend it!

Hi you can see the splodge on the top right of hologram under the seal if you click on picture.

Not only that I have two consecutive numbered notes the first with the error and second without.

So I think even being consecutive Vf notes I think there will be some premium even without the small error. Not many flaws/extraneous matter I would imagine get underneath the hologram varnish.

Thanks for your opinion all the same

You may find some nut to give you more money for them (you never know these days, there are lots out there), but personally I'd spend them, save ebay fees, save the hassle and put £10 petrol in the car!
