I know this is not an English coin no luck with my Sceat wonder if anyone would like to buy this superb 10 Centimes A 1882 French coin. I believe they were accepted for a short time as English currency which may be why it found it's way into an English collection I purchased so an interesting item!

Very high grade as you can see. £20.00 Would secure as beautiful condition plus postage.

I don't think you'll be having much luck with that one either Russ.

It's VF (an attractive VF) and worth around £5 max, not £20.00.

Dont know what catalogue you are using chris but I have been quoted $20 for vf and $40 uncirculated. Perhaps a little over priced I would accept £10

My Krause says $20 VF. It's unfortunately one of those coins that people aren't really falling over themselves for. Perhaps in France it would be a different story.

My most recent copy of Le Franc is 2006

1882 mintage 1.1M one of the commoner mintages for this series, the rarer dates can fetch very high prices

B €4, TB €12 TTB €20 SUP €45 SPL €100 FDC 160

Now if anyone has a 1875A or 1878K they don't want....

dang.. where can i get this book :/

dont get me wrong it is a nice coin, i have a collection (mostly post 1920) french coins, its not that big but its easy to get bits for, but i shall have to see, as i am not sure myself on the french coins in general, and the most i have spent is abut a fiver on some early bits
