unknown coin

Hi,

Been having a clear out and apart from the run of mill half crowns etc i came across this coin.

THe other side is dated 1885 I think and has a line above date with some bird looking shapes.

Any thoughts please

With what looks like the Star of David on it, I'd have said it was Israeli. But as Israel wasn't founded until 1948, and the coin is dated 1885, that is not possible. Even so, it might be Middle Eastern in origin.
