Recommended Posts

i read somewhere that a £2 coin with a neclace around the Queen's head is rarer then one without a neclace. I have tried searching, but i got no results. can someone tell me if this £2 is true please... :)

I hate it when people make up rumours like this one and the 1983 two pence rumour.

Yes, it has been confirmed by the mint.

Buggar off with your Queen wearing a necklace Master Jmd!! Just when I think that one's died off, along it comes again.

And you should know better.

1983** two authenticated examples, so far, still inscribed 'NEW'.

"Uncertain" value - catalogued from £250 to £1,500

In my Collectors coins 2002, it says that there have been 2 conformations of the coin with an 'uncertain' value of up to £1500.
