Looking at the reverse I would say it is a farthing,

A simple check is the diameter, 22mm farthing, 28mm Halfpenny, 34mm Penny

Ahh, by knocked you mean the indents along the edges, i see what you mean. Would like it to go to a good home, it has been lying about for a few years now

Thanks for the information john, from memory i believe it is more like the size of a farthing
