George VI One Penny British West Africa

Recommended Posts

Is there any value to this coin?

A silver (in colour) One Penny Coin.

Front:

British West Africa.

Looks like the Star of David symbol which in the middle has a circle hole underneath the date 1940.

Back:

One Penny in writing around the centre hole

above that a crown

some sort of wreaths around the edge?

The front and back may be the other way round..im unsure?

Thanks for your time

cheers

Digger,

Your Penny is copper/Nickle. The made a 1940 Plain, 1940H and 1940KN in that year. I do not know where the mint mark is and cannot make it out on your pic. All of the coins have about the same value of .50 to .75 cents in Fine condition.
