I have recently found these 2 coins in my fathers effects and have no idea of value or how to go about selling them if that is what I decide. Can anyone help?

Gold coin 1. – 1904 Liberty Head Double Eagle U.S. Gold Coin Designed by James B. Longacre; Weight 33.436 grams; 90% gold/10% copper; Diameter 34 mm. In mint condition, Head-side marked ‘1904’ tail-side marked ‘UNITED STATES OF AMERICA TWENTY DOLLARS and IN GOD WE TRUST’

Gold coin 2. – Mexican independence 50 pesos gold coin in mint condition, one side marked ‘ESTADO’ UNIDOS MEXICANOS’ – second side marked ’50 PESOS 37.5Gr ORO PURO 1821 1947’ and the edge marked ‘INDEPENDENCIA LIBERTAD’

Condition will be everything thing but the mexican 50 peso, there is a "buy it now" on ebay for $1495 and the liberty head 20$ dollar from $1200 to $2500. If you are thinking of selling them, coins of that value need specialise advice.

Also what you might consider is the gold weight 1 ounce equals 31.1g so what you have is over an ounce, i don't know the exact price of gold at the minute but an ounce is certainly over €1000 at the minute, perhaps near €1100, so the Double Gold Eagle is worth about €1300/€1400 in gold content alone
