How do you know if a Soveriegn is from Canada?

How can you tell that a sovereign is from the canada mint? There is a big difference in scarcity between the Canadian and British sovereigns - what is the difference to look for?

Canada mint = C, India mint = I, South Africa mint = SA, Melborne mint (austrailia) = M, Perth mint (austrailia) = P, Sydney mint (austrailia) = S. British mint has no mint mark, the mint marks are usually found above the date.
