2008 handover £2, any info?

picked up a couple today \o/, from what i have read these were specials sold by the mint, yet they popping up in circulation? any ideas on these because i can find nothing on circulation pieces of these.

According to the revised figures on the Royal Mint website 853,000 have been released into circulation.

yea noticed they put em up there the other day, not a bad figure either i have 2 of these handover ones and only one of the the other one lol
