I hate identifying these! All things considered, I make it F10 even though I can't see the signature on the cape.

It is John, but i wouldn't say unfortunately because as has been noted, not many of these have the LCW because of poor striking, so it's ok for now until i can do some more digging around, unless you have any that is?

Good photos mate.

When my head is inclined in that direction, I will sit down and work out for myself why it's an F10.

In the meantime, if it isn't a favour too far and your camera is up to it, can you zoom in as far as you can get without losing focus on the left shoulder of her dress ? (basically until L.C.Wyon comes into view)

Ta.

I only said "unfortunately" as there was a chance it could have been a rarer die pairing.

F 10's I have 3 listed at the moment, but unless you have a desire to complete a date run in top grades I would personally leave it as is and spend your cash on another date you want (I know, I'm not a very good businessman!!!).

Lol, thanx john, out of curiosity, how much are yours, and what grade would you say this was? 400 i'll see what i can do regarding another picture

I'd go with VF on yours but if you were selling on ebay you could probably call it "Very High Grade"!!!! :)

Mine are £120 for an UNC and £140 for UNC with good lustre. I've put the link to the cheaper one on for your reference.

I'd still stick with yours though :D

If you decide you want anything at any point drop me a PM and I'll sort you out with a discount code for use at checkout ;)

John.

I've noticed a little difference in the link you provided John, the pic i have posted of the OBV has what i would say as a 3/4 broach, yours has a full broach, or is it my eyes and its late?

As Gary says, the signature is clear enough to easilly determine the die.

Other easy diagnostics are the Rose not being fully formed, the bust being well clear of the linear circle and the colon after the G of DG pointing directly to a border tooth. There are other tells, but they are the main ones to look for in combination.

John.

Sorry 400, losing focus when zooming in unfortunately.

I'm not at home right now to try to get a better image for you, but using your image and cropping and enlarging it, I will try to show you the LC WYON under Victoria's bust ....

First image is Hi-Lighted, second image is just enlarged....

You're a good man, but I can't see it from that photo.

I've had a look elsewhere and can see what it should look like, but I can't see it on this one.

No worries, it's not a crisis, just 'going to school' on Az's purchase

John.

I'd personally rate that between F and VF - nearer to VF certainly, but there's too much general wear for it to be a true VF.

Hard to tell, but this looks more like an Obverse 4, LCWYON UNDER the bust, Obverse 2 is on the base of the bust, Obverse 3 partly on partly under the base of the bust....
