Edward 6th Shilling side profile

Recommended Posts

Hello again, just wondering if anyone has an idea of the value on an Edward 6th shilling with side profile in a gf+ grade?

My dad is looking to sell but having looked on ebay for prices, all i can find is a knackered old one from timeline originals for about £600 buy it now.

Surely that isn't right? Thanks for your help, Mike

Spink 2005 lists all issues of side profile shillings in Fine from £125 to £350 unless Bristol (£650). You can add on about 25% - 40% for current values, though someone may have more up-to-date Spink.

Put it on the bay starting at 99p with OK postage and it will sell...make sure it is a good picture.

I have Spink 2011, what Spink number are we looking at?

If you have a picture (of both sides please) you could post we can give you a better idea. The date of issue, mint mark and condition will all affect value.
