Just wondering if this is OBV 6 REV I?

It's 6 + H. Still scarce and worth quite a bit in that condition.

Just another question on this OBV/REV 1861 no Initials on OBV/REV and 15 leaves, is it OBV 5 REV F?

Just to confuse you it's Gouby obverse J - much easier to look up than Freeman - whatever, it is still the most common of the lot. That type of reverse should have a sig. Have a look under the shield.

So that would make it 6+D, but the dealer i bought it from states there's no signatures on OBV/REV so don't know until in hand and a peek under the scope, perhaps worn or weak but the coin isn't worn so don't know why the signature would be if it's supposed to be there

Just checked the website i bought this 1861 from Derek, the seller states that it has 15 leaves, gouby OBV J has 16 leaves

Doh... I hate 1860 and 61. Why do you think I didn't answer straight away? Per Gouby, the only two without signatures are H and J. In H, the 'B' of 'BRITT' stands clear of the head whereas in J it is virtually touching. All others will be signed.

Looks like a winner to me.

It is important to get it fully ID'd and noted for its rarity.

I'm still here, 6+H, as previously stated, Freeman 68, yes, rare in high grade,

The both have arrived and in coin aquisition of the week. The 1861 does have a weak signature under the shield
