23mm diameter, milled edge - I'm stuck!

The scanner picture doesn't do it justice...

Unfortunately it has a crack but I'm just curious as to what it is and what W.G is!

Picked it up for 25p in the local School Car Boot Sale... along with another VF 1949 thrupenny bit they hadn't spotted!

The obverse looks like it's from one of the "To Hanover" gaming tokens. I would guess that it was either a uniface or has been smoothed post production and then stamped as a love token. The flower stamp has then fractured the flan.

Yes, in my comments on my database I had written about the remarkable similarities between the To Hanover token and it...
