Has this 1895 2mm penny been cleaned or is the seller just being cautious?

doesnt look it from the scan, there are no lines or finger prints, and the inside of the lettering does not look toned

I didn't think that it looked cleaned, maybe the seller is just being cautious about those black spots.

It looks a bit iffy - I think he's right to play it safe. Something about the jewellery on the bust doesn't ring true with a coin that is purporting to be in that condition. It should be much sharper imho.

Cleaning usually produces hairlines, the coin does look a bit odd. BUYER BEWARE.

It does look a bit strange doesn't it? The toning doesn't look right to me...
