Well as i said, for 4,70 it was worth the punt, you never know. Its in the copper scrap jar for another day on fleabay

...so the scratch has sliced a corner off the middle serif, making it look like it was curving upwards.

The camera never lies, of course...

You never said what date this penny is Az - I'm looking to upgrade some of my poorer dates, you could be offloading it quicker than you anticipated :)

Oh right - thanks. I do have a good 1862 already (patinated but better than EF) so I will leave it. Good luck with it :)
