Just wondering if anyone has an idea on the value of theis coin

its a festival of britain crown piece 1951

would love to know its value if anyone has any information

It will be worth about £6-£8 in it's origional box if it is the common variety (it probably is the common variety) Could you post a picture so that we can tell you if it is a rarer variety?

oh an forgot yes its in original box with the little bit of paper describing it

box is a bit worn tho and its sort of a dark green colour

Sounds like the common 1951 Crown in it's origional box. It will be worth around £6-£8.

..which means "By the industry of the city the state flourishes" 1551-1951. The 1551 refers to it's commemorating, not just the Festival of Britain in 1951 but the 400th anniversary of the first silver crown of Edward VI.

Technically you can still spend it at a face value of 25p, but I suspect you don't intend to
