Yes... not sure sheep have featured on any English coin have they?!

And I always thought our Norman friend looks a bit grumpy on that issue!

Weren't there some sheep mintmarks (at least one) on hammered coins?

The closest you come is woolpack. I guess with a badly flawed die you could end up with an additional head, 4 legs and a tail, but I'm not sure the coin would be very attractive. Dragon, greyhound, ostrich head, boar's head, crowned leaopard's head, lion, swan, martlet and Everson's 'turtle' are the only animal marks.

Thats a good little haul! Enjoy the coin shop when you get there, but whatever you do dont tell the man how much money yuo have in your wallet!
