yea i checked today. turns out the 16 sports series 50p's were not minted in the same numbers

the most any one design were minted was 1 million.

for some odd reason, cycling is only 400,000 rest are 800-900k

there is also a guild guide one at 510,090

and for another intrigue, only 38 million 2010 2 pences

I'd better get on my bike and get one. :)

I've picked up 5 different ones from circulation.

I don't think I will bother looking out for 2010 2p's

I bit the bullet and got the lot the other day as there are 24 new designers covered by the 29 coins in the series. :( Bring back the resident artist, or at least employ previously used ones rather than inflicting this on me. I don't want a collection full of modern dross. Please. There are now nearly as many attributed designers in the decimal period as I am aware of in the 800 years leading up to it.

Guess it best not much said about those American State and America the Beautiful quarters now. I agree these "Oly" coins are pure dross.

only 38 million, compared to 200+ million of other years ;)

i think all the decimal designs are poor, tbh the designs since 1860 got slowly worse anyway :P

In other words, only "one between two" for every inhabitant of Britain. Oh dear, a lot of people are going to go without.

None of you will have it. I got it in my change this morning. Must put it on ebay asap. Very rare, could be unique, never seen one before. £1000 BIN or best offer. Where's the prat emoticon when you need one?

With cycling being one of the more popular sports & one we have a chance of winning medals in, I would have thought the mintage would be higher not lower than the others. Or is it like when I was a kid collecting football cards, you never found the best players. :(
