Hello and something you might not have seen before

Good evening everyone,

I would just like to say hello as this is my first post here.

And show you something you might not have seen before.

Once in a blue moon you find something like this.

These are trial coins from the Royal mint. The aluminum was

not introduced to the 10 Aurar untill 1970. At the moment

they are being graded at NGC in the US and it has taken

weeks and many emails from them to reach the end of their

grading. Hopefully next week.

None of the four biggest auction houses have answered my

question regards to price. And that was to be expected.

They dont have a clue what to do with them.

I would love to hear what you think about these. Or if you

have any information regards to their history.

These types of trial coins were given out quietly

for specific purposes and are rare as you would imagine.

Or did I miss something in my research

I imagine those trials are extremely rare. As ever though, rarities depend on the size of the market for them. The very famous 1933 penny would fetch 10 times the price of an equally rare bun penny variety. It would certainly feel good to own something that rare though.
