old brittish coin 1773 need help

i have recently found an old coin dated 1773

on the head of it has georgivs lll rex or REX GEORGIVS lll on tails side it has

BRITAN NIA 1773 WITH A lady sitting on something

can any one identify this coin for me and tell me how much it was then?

oh yeah it was found in Charleston South Carolina

What you have is probably a Half Penny or a Farthing, but we will need dimentions and the coin alloy (Copper, Silver etc...) to tell you more...

it looks copper about a Inch and a Half in diameter

It will probably be a George III halfpenny meant to be legal tender in America.
